Esther runs a Scottish dance school in Ontario but things are not going well. Her son Tom, who was her star pupil, has left to become an exotic dancer in a gay club where his striptease act starts off with him wearing his grandfather's kilt. When his grandfather dies, Tom and his mother travel to Glasgow for the funeral. He learns that his grandfather had a gay relationship while stationed in North-Africa, linking the play with past understandings of gay identity. Read more...
